A Forklift is a vehicle with a prolonged device on its front so that it can be used for lifting and carrying huge loads by itself. The Forklift Training program provide teaching of the pre operations Forklift inspection, its maintenance, the proper handling of the load carried by a Forklift, the operation of the vehicle and how it is supposed to avoids all the harm in its way.

There are various parameters through which a forklift training course can be set out. One of these standards is CSA Standard B335-15, this standard evaluates the requirements needed by the operators of the vehicle, hey identify the knowledge and skills of the drivers and so evaluate them. If the skills and abilities and the operators are the same or may be more, than that which is mentioned in the CSA Standards, then the driver would be accepted as one who can have the license to drive a Forklift. A Forklift is a very powerful machine and should be handled by only trained operators as if it goes in the hands of any trained drivers, they can end p doing more harm than any good they had intended on doing. Therefore, Forklift Training is important for the safety of all the people around the Forklift and the workplace itself too.

Talking about the risks that are there if an untrained operator tries to use a Forklift, first of all, the compensation costs are a lot. A forklift carries a lot of weight and an accident would mean lot of physical loss as if the product is 2000kg, the forklift has to weigh at least 2500kg to lift that load, that makes a total of 4500kg, and that is a lot of weight.

An accident because of an unexperienced operator can damage the company’s reputation, as people around the city would not expect such an irresponsible act from a company that is highly responsible for its actions. There can be a loss of lives too, because we all know with thousands of kilograms of load, even driving at a low speed can be a dangerous move, as one little mishap, and accidents could occur resulting in loss of lives too.

The three main aims of having to train the Forklift operators are that the productivity should increase, as obviously, an experienced or a well-trained operator would be able to handle the forklift in a more productive way as compared to the one without any experience. Secondly, efficiency would increase, as a driver that knows what decision to take at what time, would be more fast than the one who would panic because he does not know what to do in a situation that involves rapid decisions.

Safety is the utmost goal, as the thing that is the most important is the safety of the driver, the load being carried and the people around and the workplace too.
